Pre Shipment Inspection


Kind of inspections:

- Alimentary: Milk powder, bottle, brick (skimmed, semi-skimmed, whole milk), Fish, meat (Pork, beef, veal, chicken…), canned
vegetables,  juices, yoghurt, wines, potatoes, cheeses, butter….all for industries & department store….


- Miscellaneous equipment: Vehicles, tires, computers, telephones, cables, control panel…& all kind of spare parts


- Various VOC: Clothing, garments, footwear, Cosmetics products, perfumes, essential oils…….(marking, composition, barcode, labeling….) 


  • Required by some countries (government contracts).
  • Visual inspections, quantitative & qualitative (packing, shelf live, marking ...)


Verify quality before shipment: These inspections are usually performed in hurry (just before or during the loading). Inspectors’ lack of time, in the table of AQL, only Special inspection level can be used

Loading supervision

In some cases, a buyer wants to make sure the factory ships the right products, in the right quantity, and with the right loading plan.
Its objective is really to confirm a shipment’s quality, rather than catching issues early

Special” inspection levels are appropriate is a container-loading supervision to have an idea of what is inside the cartons, without spending too much time at that checking. (see more details in our section consumer/retail)


Production monitoring


  • According to a schedule established, control of the production on site
  • Purposes: Identify and manage problems in live (deadlines & capacity of the production, qualifications & interests of the client)

Before shipping


  • Inspection in factory before loading
  • Factory inspection before shipping finished products according to specifications and required industry standards (electrical marking, clothes labelling, export marking….etc)


Container loading


  • Conditions of the container (cleanliness, smell, walls, generators ..)
  • Loading inspection to check the order details (quantity, quality control according to the standards of the country of destination, sealed container)


Some Missions: 


a) 1994 : Alimentary help of Croatia.

- Mission in Spain: (2 months in Campofrio’s factory/Burgos) supervision of production of canned meat

- Mission in Zagreb & Croatian territory (2 months) supervision of alimentary project in the warehouse of the European Community Task Force)


b) 1999-2000 : European Alimentary help of Russia
(missions in the French alimentary industries)


c) French Help of Montenegro Animal food (mission in Montenegro)


d) World Food Program Alimentary Help of Sudan. Wheat (mission in Sweden)

ISO 17020

Awareness of the standard ISO 17020


Our role as subcontractor, the size of our agency and our geographical area do not justify to be ISO 17020 certified

However our contractors being ISO 17020 certified we have implemented a policy ensuring compliance with this standard and meet the expectations of our Clients

10°) Confidentiality

Personnel having access to confidential information about contractors, importers, exporters and government clients. No information may be communicated to any third party without the written agreement of the Client.

In addition, the staff is not allowed to ask importers or exporters, confidential business information without a preliminary agreement

Staff should be informed that in case of breach proved, disciplinary action will be taken.


11°) Recordings

Reports and Inspection Certificates

12°) Preparing for Audit

• Make sure that inspector:

• Have access to documents necessary, to know where to find them and be in possession of the latest versions

• Understand the job description, the procedures of contracts managed.

• To have with oneself all the checklists and audit criteria documents

• Must have all the tools and procedures necessary to carry out inspections.

• Be aware of the Policy and Quality Objectives and Code of Ethics of each contractor.
